What's the role?
This position provides technical support through preparation of working documents, primarily Engineering
Judgment (EJ) CAD drawings from sketches developed by Fire Protection Engineers (FPE).

What does the role involve?
- Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working documents from rough sketches provided by the FPE Engineers
- Responsible to check the dimensions and relationships of components to each other and to the whole Mentor CAD Operators and CAD interns

What you need is:
- Associate’s degree in Design Drafting Technology, CAD Certificate, or equivalent required
- Proficient in 2D CAD 2010 or higher with thorough understanding of multi-view orthographic projections
- Aptitude to read and understand blueprints, construction specifications, and documents required
- General dimensioning and tolerance principles required
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and Hilti personnel through
- verbal and written response required
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Ability to organize and utilize large amounts of reference information both in hardcopy and electronic files required
- Ability to function effectively on teams required
- 1 year minimum relevant professional drafting experience required
- 1 year minimum Hilti Firestop drafting experience required
- Working knowledge of industry related construction materials, methods, and practices preferred
