What's the role?

The Strategic Business Developer (SBD) is a sales leadership role in the global Hilti community. The SBD will focus on a selected Global Elevator Account and is responsible for developing sales, driving specifications and developing long term international relationships up to senior director level stakeholders.

What does the role involve?

The SBD creates a strategy and leads its execution across 40+ countries globally. The SBD is accountable for global sales development through commercial relationships, global agreements and technical specifications. The SBD also coordinates global in-house regional and local sales teams associated with the account making sure teams follow the projects and the specifications converting them into sales.

The responsibilities includes working with several customer locations in multiple regions, the role require travelling globally up to 50 days per year.

What you need is:

  • Suitable Bachelor’s degree required with min. 3 years’ experience from global account management in the field of technical product sales. MBA is an advantage.
  • Proven success with selling value added and solutions to owners, consultants and contractors
  • Extensive experience in global account management including global supply/pricing agreements and basic engineering knowledge is an advantage.
  • Senior relationship management: Capable and confident while speaking to senior director and C-level customers.
  • Long-Term Strategic Thinking: Capable of explaining targets & strategy to customers, peers and management.
  • Understanding external stakeholders’ pain points and trends, and influencing internal strategies based on this.
  • Communication skills: Creation of trust through active listening, influencing with leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven and working autonomously.
