Logistics Intern

What's the role?

We're looking for someone who wants to kickstart their career with an exciting Logistics internship. This internship will be for 6 months in our Material Management team, part of our Logistics Function.

What does the role involve?

As the Logistics Intern, your key responsibility will be to support the Materials Manager in owning and driving the process of managing the flow of materials for the Hilti Stores and Vans, ensuring that there is an optimization of stock and service level at all locations in line with company objectives (Stock Availability, Customer Satisfaction/Sales order execution, Days on Hand, Obsolescence).

Based on your ability and performance, additional projects will be assigned to you to further develop your skills and to offer insight into various functions within logistics.

What you need is:

  • 4th year or Master's degree student (focus in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferred)
  • Proficiency in English with strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Prior experience in with MS Office (Specially Excel) is nice to have
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to be detail oriented and well organized
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • High level of motivation, proactive mindset and a continuous improvement mentality
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willing to work in operations as well as office environment
  • Resident in Istanbul
