Field Engineer - Structural

Engineering excellence, delivered in real time

Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager, your new role as a Field Engineer will see you creating opportunities through specifications and influencing key decision makers to deliver product/service sales within Hilti product portfolio and Engineering Services. This position is an important part of the business, shaping the construction industry all the way from concept & design through to installation & maintenance.

What You'll do

  • Deliver strong account development with key stakeholders and technical influencers through effective design and implementation of individual account strategies combined with technical support.
  • Work with Sales teams to identify key Inhouse Specifiers and Influencers and work collaboratively to influence the account, making Hilti the preferred provider of Specifiable Products and Engineering software/services.
  • Build long term relationships with specifiers and influencers to influence and gain knowledge of specifications on projects and build Hilti solutions into specifications and standards drawings.
  • Represent Hilti as contact person for all engineering personnel associated with the project.
  • Pass all leads/information from specifiers and customers to Hilti sales personnel utilising Salesforce & Hi Site to facilitate spec conversion.
  • Identify and track progress of all Hilti relevant applications relevant to the project.
  • Active support and implementation of marketing initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering (Civil or Structural are preferred)
  • A valid Australian drivers license and ability to travel
  • Experience in design and/or project engineering
  • Marketing and / or sales, account development experience is an advantage
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation and persuasion
  • Ability to innovate and to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Effective planning to maximise productivity and customer-facing time
