Regional Lean Manager

What's the role?

Working cross functionally across Hilti’s Northern Europe region, you will contribute to the development, implementation and harmonization of Lean behaviours and tools.

What does the role involve?

As Regional Lean Manager you will develop and manage a Regional Lean program (across all departments within Hilti), identifying cross departments (logistics, finance, sales, HR, marketing) topics to improve overall supply chain and conduct improvement projects accordingly (facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders).

You will develop and align LEAN initiatives/Roadmaps with line Management, ensuring the implementation of agreed targets and roadmaps according to our LEAN program, whilst managing and leading LEAN projects along the Value Chain (with focus on cross functional Value Stream projects) with strong business impacts on global level (KPI improvements).

You will qualify, enable and coach the organization to drive LEAN.
Developing, maintaining and conducting training programs and knowledge management to develop skills and facilitate experience, setting a focus on promoting a LEAN mind-set and empowering project members to take over responsibility and consequently drive LEAN projects and actively support new behaviour.

You will drive LEAN to the next level and be a change agent and coach for the Northern Europe Region.

Our Regional Head Office is based at Circle Square in Central Manchester, where we are located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop. We offer a hybrid working pattern between the office and home and different ways to work flexibly so please feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you at your interview.

What you need is:

  • Lean certified, LCS accreditation/ Greenbelt accreditation with strong expertise in LEAN tools and methods (e.g. 5S, SMED, Value Stream Analysis, TPM, etc.)
  • Excellent networking, interpersonal and communication skills (stakeholder management)
  • Broad experience deploying LEAN across the supply chain, ideally in Logistics, Manufacturing and indirect areas.
  • Proven Leadership experience (line or project)
  • Sound project and business process management experience and skills.
  • Change Management experience with a proven record of influencing people and departments in cultural and continuous improvement journeys.
  • International mobility for longer term career progression outside of the UK
