In this role, you will be responsible for the overall performance and development of a production area covering plating, heat treatment, cleaning processes, and the associated laboratory. By leading a team of approximately 10 employees and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will drive continuous improvement and contribute to the strategic direction of the production area.
What You'll do
- Lead and develop a production team of approximately 10 employees with full functional and disciplinary responsibility.
- Drive cross-functional performance by providing leadership across Quality, Engineering, and Logistics.
- Take full ownership and accountability for the production area, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Manage and continuously improve production assets and processes related to plating (galvanic), heat treatment, washing, wastewater treatment, and the associated laboratory.
- Drive operational excellence through effective capacity and resource planning, value-stream-based production management, and daily shopfloor leadership.
- Lead and contribute to production-related projects while supporting strategic manufacturing initiatives at plant and global level.
- Foster effective collaboration across organizational boundaries and proactively engage stakeholders to deliver sustainable business results.
What You’ll Bring
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, metallurgy or a related technical field.
- Leadership experience in a production environment and ideally exposure to heat treatment or galvanic processes.
- Proven project management experience and a hands-on mindset for driving continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Positive and empathetic leadership style, strategic thinking, and fluency in German and English.
