Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Media Communications, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for building awareness/consideration for the Hilti brand by developing, executing, and evaluating social media marketing activities that align with business strategy.
The Social Media Specialist coordinates with various internal and external stakeholders regarding the promotion and execution of social programs including monthly organic content, and paid social media campaigns.
This role tracks and measures social media programs and is responsible for establishing appropriate processes, timelines, and optimizations within the assigned projects. This position promotes understanding and the proper use of social media elements and serves as a liaison to other groups in the organization related to their use.

What You'll do

  • Development of monthly social media communication materials (assets, copy, etc.) that are relevant, engaging, and aligned with the Hilti brand. This includes, but not limited to, images, videos, live streams, GIFs, carousels, stories, and giveaways.
  • Manage the development and execution of paid social media campaigns with stakeholders and agencies.
  • Deliver projects/initiatives on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Work with marketing stakeholders (product, trade, services, engineering, etc.) to develop social media content to support new product launches and marketing roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborate with the global team and other marketing organizations on strategic initiatives and pilot programs including but not limited to the development of the materials, the deployment, the community management, analysis, and feedback.
  • Gather insights and utilize metrics on a regular basis to evaluate social media performance and make recommendations on improvements and optimizations.

What You’ll Bring

  • This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization or visa sponsorship (including initial, transfer, or extension), and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and remain authorized for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
  • Minimum two (2) years’ social media experience required. For internal candidates, 2-3 years of field experience with demonstrated use of social platforms for connecting with customers and promotion Hilti products, software, and services
  • Strong knowledge and direct experience with social media platforms and communication
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills required with the ability to deliver results within short timeframes
  • Proven ability to develop effective, result-focused marketing communications
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage external vendors, budgets, and timelines
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and proofreading
  • Strong collaborator that possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with social media management platforms like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Falcon, or similar
  • Prefer experience with Photoshop and Adobe Premiere (Adobe Creative Suite)

Working Conditions:
  • Normal office conditions with occasional jobsite visits required
  • Up to 10% of domestic travel, required

Adverse Working Conditions
  • Job requires occasionally walking on construction sites and uneven surfaces, as well as climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs during all seasons of the year
  • Depending on geography employees may be exposed to adverse heat or cold
  • Construction jobsites may expose employees to excessively loud noises

Safety Equipment Required:
  • Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working jobsites; must observe and abide by all safety regulations as required by Hilti, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and General Contractors
  • Ear protection is strongly encouraged and may be required on some jobsites
