The Lead Engineer serves as a technical leader for large-scale industrial projects, including Semicon-ductor, Data Center, Battery Manufacturing, and Advanced Manufacturing facilities.
This role is responsible for driving engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from early project development and concept design to detailed engineering, technical consulting, and project execution support. The position requires close collaboration with EPC contractors, engineering con-sultants, construction partners, and end users to develop and deliver optimized technical solutions.
Beyond engineering expertise, the Lead Engineer acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers and plays a key role in project strategy, stakeholder management, and business development activi-ties.
This position is designed for high-potential engineering professionals who demonstrate strong tech-nical leadership and possess the capability to progress into future leadership roles such as Construc-tion Project Manager, Project Execution Manager, or other senior project leadership positions.
What You'll do
Engineering Leadership for Large Projects
- Leadership of engineering activities for Semiconductor, Data Center, Battery Manufacturing, and Industrial projects
- Technical evaluation of project requirements and development of engineering solutions
- Identification and mitigation of engineering risks throughout project phases
- Development and execution of project engineering strategies
- Leadership of technical discussions with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, construc-tion companies, and project owners
- Analysis of customer requirements and presentation of value-driven technical solutions
- Technical advisory support during key project decision-making stages
- Development of long-term relationships with key project stakeholders
- Structural design of steel structures and support systems
- Review of engineering drawings and fabrication documents
- Structural calculations, load assessments, and technical report preparation
- Application and interpretation of local and international design codes and standards
- Technical support during design, procurement, fabrication, and construction phases
- Resolution of project-related technical challenges and site issues
- Support for project schedule and quality management activities
- Review and management of engineering changes during project execution
- Preparation and delivery of technical proposals and presentations
- Technical support for project acquisition and business development initiatives
- Competitive analysis and development of technical differentiation strategies
- Participation in strategic project pursuit and tender activities
- Mentoring and technical guidance of junior engineers
- Development and implementation of engineering best practices
- Contribution to technical capability development within the organization
- Promotion of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing initiatives
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Construction Engineering, or re-lated disciplines
- Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in large industrial projects
- Experience within EPC, engineering consulting, shipbuilding, industrial plant, semiconductor, battery, or data center industries
- Proven experience in structural design and/or project engineering
- Strong customer-facing communication and technical presentation skills
- Business-level English proficiency for meetings, presentations, and technical reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Semiconductor FAB projects
- Experience in Data Center projects
- Experience in Battery Manufacturing facilities
- Experience in Offshore or Shipbuilding projects
- Project Management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional qualification
- International project experience
- Experience with BIM-based engineering and design environments
