The role is to drive strategic account growth through specification development, business development, and long-term customer engagement. This individual will be responsible for developing and expanding key customer relationships while identifying opportunities to strengthen Hilti’s market presence and commercial impact.

What You'll do

  • Act as the primary contact and negotiator for key accounts within the power, energy, utility, and large infrastructure sectors, including major domestic and international organizations
  • Coordinate Hilti resources across the U.S. and globally to support customer requirements across key grid, generation, transmission, and distribution projects
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase share of wallet and ensure strong return on sales • Build project penetration strategies by analyzing opportunities, aligning resources, and understanding customer decision-making structures
  • Generate new business and expand existing relationships across targeted power accounts and long-cycle, complex projects
  • Secure specifications for major projects, ensuring Hilti technology is positioned as the preferred solution • Negotiate, coordinate, and implement pricing agreements designed to drive profitability and long-term account growth
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across multiple organizational levels to fully understand and fulfill customer requirements
  • Manage and maintain a detailed contact database in SAP; utilize SAP Mobile, CRM/CPM, and call reports for planning and customer development
  • Develop strong industry expertise in power-sector applications, technologies, and project environments
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field required
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with engineering firms, major accounts, utilities, EPCs, field engineering, sales management, business development, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute long-term account strategies for complex customers
  • Knowledge of power-industry applications such as generation, transmission, distribution, or renewable energy
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments
  • Strong conceptual thinking skills and an innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational awareness and ability to navigate a matrixed environment
  • High motivation, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mindset in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Ability to influence a wide range of technical and commercial stakeholders
