Lead Engineer
- Lead Engineer is a customer facing role responsible to deliver charged engineering services within the scope of Integrated Project Solution along full project lifecycle from acquisition to execution to maximize project SoW.
- Coordinate and supervise the assigned engineering scope of the project to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
- Supervise, oversee, and coordinate regular and timely technical reviews of engineering scope deliverables developed by Design Engineering team, ensuring design optimization in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Coordination and support of other functional roles within the Project Team to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Engineering execution and design integrity.
What You'll do
Project acquisition
- Actively support the Construction Project Manager and Project Execution Manager to assess the availability of required information, the scope and the required time to perform value adding engineering services, Consult/ support the Construction Project Manager in quoting for the project and consult Framework feasibility.
Project Execution
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering and Design activities, system integration, and design selection.
- Supervise and manage the review and approval of Design Engineering team’s work, ensuring compliance with Projects specifications/requirements, relevant codes and external and internal standards, and best industry practices.
- Provide technical advisory and coordination with customer’s discipline specialists.
- Based on the customer requirements create design guideline/input to Modeler(s) (in/external)
- By request join “clash” coordination sessions as Hilti representative
- Ensure proper engineering documentation as per design guideline.
- Coordinate the required engineering participation and contribute input and expertise in developing and analysing various design options to validate and optimize Design Engineering Team’s output.
Teamwork and development
- Provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Projects Management Team organization.
- Establish excellent working relationships with Regional LE and functional counterparts in regions.
- Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in other departments, Operations Units and Fulfilment Department.
- Interface regularly with Design Engineers in the Value Engineering HUBs, Project Management Team, Team Leaders as and when required.
- Create an open working climate through the integration and motivation of others.
- Be the role model to develop DE`s on their career path.
What You’ll Bring
- Min. 7 years of experience in engineering
- Strong structural / civil engineering background, ideally coming from in Oil & Gas or Power / Manufacturing / Building Construction Industries
- Strong in structural analysis and design
- Strong understanding of Project Management and project / design stages
- Excellent Presentation & communication Skill
- Excellent Level of project Coordination skill
- Understanding the correlation between technical, commercial and logistic aspects of engineering work
- Experience in client interaction
- Able to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions that meet customer needs and requirements.
- Interest in transfer of know how to others and sharing of competence
- Strong in documenting of designs and development activities, creating technical inputs for drawings, and generating reports
- Experience working in cross functional team
- Empathy and ability to work in multicultural environment
- Open and good communicator
- Efficient oral and written communicator
