OT Security Technical Officer

Secure by Design. Reliable by Default.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, evaluating, designing, and improving security concepts and controls for OT security platforms and technologies, in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, to ensure resilient, safe, and compliant operations. The role requires deep technical expertise in ICS cybersecurity combined with strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with plant, logistics, after-market services, engineering, and management stakeholders, to enable effective delivery of security controls and capabilities.

What You'll do

  • Define, evaluate, and implement complex OT security concepts into actionable controls, aligned with IEC 62443, NIST, and regulatory requirements across industrial environments
  • Drive continuous improvement of OT security architecture, including network segmentation and secure design principles for IT/OT identity split, central remote access solution for third-party vendors, device hardening, threat and detection response capabilities
  • Translate technical risks into business impact and process resilience, to support decision-making at operational (engineering, maintenance, etc.) and management levels
  • Assess vulnerabilities, lead system hardening, and design compensating controls for ICS/SCADA platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering, plant, and IT security teams to integrate OT security into operational processes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Automation, or Cybersecurity; Master’s and/or relevant certifications are a plus: GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, CISSP
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity overall, and at least 3 years of experience in OT cybersecurity, ICS/SCADA environments, or industrial network security roles within critical infrastructure, manufacturing, or utilities
  • Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST frameworks) and ICS architectures, protocols, and network segmentation
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and OT security controls
  • Ability to communicate technical risks in business terms and collaborate across engineering, IT, and leadership teams
  • Passion for continuous learning in OT cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and fluency in English
  • Preferred but not required: relevant certifications (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, CISM), OT/ICS incident response experience, exposure to project management in industrial environments, and familiarity with OT threat intelligence and IT/OT architecture principles
