Tool Service Team Leader

What's the Role?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to join our team and play a key role in managing day-to-day operational activities. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery to our clients in the UAE. As a Team Leader, you will oversee a team of skilled professionals, driving performance, maintaining standards, and ensuring that all operational targets are met.

What does the role involve?

The purpose of the role is to manage a Tool Service Centre (TSC) team is to deliver best-in-class tool service. The role involves establishment of a culture that improves and implements ideas, standard behaviours and changes in the Tool Service Centre (TSC) enhancing overall customer experience. 

Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team in operational processes, ensuring high performance and engagement.
  • Working closely with the AMS Manager to implement strategies that align with regional goals.
  • Monitoring and enhancing operational workflows, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Overseeing resource planning, team schedules, and task allocation to meet service demands effectively.
  • Proactively addressing and resolving operational issues, escalating when necessary to the AMS Manager.
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and streamline processes.

Hilti increased the number of refurbished spare parts in repair from 10,000 to 100,000 in 2 years.

What you need is:

  • A bachelor's degree/ post-graduate degree (Technology, Supply Chain or Business are the preferred disciplines )
  • Around 2 years of professional experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Project Management; knowledge of LEAN processes is an advantage.
  • Experience working on the shop floor / tool service / repair centers
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with business orientation and customer centricity
  • Proven leadership skills in leading a team of technicians - with the ability to motivate team members for performance outcomes
  • A high level of spoken and written communication, with effective presentation skills
  • Based in Dubai, or willing to commute or relocate accordingly
