Segment Manager

What's the role?

In this role, you will lead the strategic product portfolio development for your business segment and are accountable for the business results and related product innovation pipeline. Additionally, you'll lead a dynamic team of 5-10 product managers, inspiring and guiding them to success. You'll also have a broader influence, indirectly managing a network of 10-15 regional product managers across our global sales organizations, amplifying your impact on a global scale. What does the role involve?

You will define and drive the long-term product innovation roadmap for your segment, identifying opportunities across product categories and aligning with the business unit strategy. You'll translate customer needs into hardware, software, and service solutions while staying ahead of industry trends and competitors. As the global owner of your portfolio, you’ll manage the entire product lifecycle, from launch to phase-out, and lead strategic initiatives that drive sustainable value. You’ll also serve as the key connection between sales regions and internal functions like Development, Engineering, Supply and Quality. Finally, you’ll build and guide your strong team of product managers to ensure business success and enable their personal and professional development.

What you need is:

  • A master’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Proven experience in design firms with a strong knowledge of the construction industry
  • Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions from scratch
  • Leadership experience, managing teams and complex, multidisciplinary projects in diverse environments
  • A strong commercial mindset, with a history of successfully interfacing with clients and managing important business discussions
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
