What's the role?

As Mechanical Design Engineer in our Business Unit Installations you have a huge opportunity to bring your drive, creativity and problem-solving skills to work on a varied array of engineering challenges. What does the role involve?

As Mechanical Design Engineer you are part of a multi-disciplinary development team working on the next modular solutions for the construction industry. You work closely with our experts and our markets on developing solutions to create value for our customers. In your key responsibilities, you come up with concepts, design and generate prototypes, simulate performance, set-up testing and qualification methods. You work with our suppliers to find for design for manufacturability. You are involved in all product development phases from design to final validation, ending with a solution on the market. Your hands-on, entrepreneurial and proactive mentality is needed to bring your visions to life including interdisciplinary engineering activities, e.g. ideation for solutions, design, validation and jobsite testing with customers. You go beyond the state-of the art to create an outstanding solution!

What you need is:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, automotive engineering, or similar
  • Experience with CAD (e.g. Siemens NX ideally); mechanical simulation experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Mechanical Design
  • You have fun developing creative technical solutions in cross functional and diverse teams
  • Hands-on mentality, analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
