What's the role

As Field Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of six Field Engineers in Denmark. This hands-on leadership role combines team management with active engagement in technical projects, ensuring your team delivers innovative solutions that create both technical excellence and commercial value. You will drive performance, coach your team, and work closely with both customers and sales teams to maximize opportunities for Hilti’s advanced solutions, turning technical expertise into tangible business outcomes.

What does the role involve?

As Field Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Team leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Engineers, fostering a high-performing culture and supporting individual career development. Guide your team to prioritize tasks and projects effectively, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximum impact.
  • Customer engagement and commercial impact : Work alongside your team on-site and in the office to support complex technical solutions and ensure excellent customer experience. Build strong partnerships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to expand the services and solutions they utilize, while converting technical solutions into business results.
  • Project oversight : Ensure high-quality delivery of technical solutions by leveraging innovative engineering methods and software to optimize project efficiency and solution quality.
  • Competence development : Drive continuous learning and technical expertise within the team to develop team capabilities to solve complex technical challenges. Encourage the team to implement innovative approaches that enhance customer value and project outcomes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration : Partner with sales, project management, BIM teams, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and high customer satisfaction.

What you need is:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of engineering experience, including technical leadership or management of engineers
  • Strong knowledge of construction and industrial projects and processes with hands-on experience in engineering software such as Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD; experience with plant design software is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to convert technical solutions into business opportunities and drive commercial results
  • Fluent in Danish and English
