What does the role involve?
This role will play a critical role in driving our battery strategy by identifying and fostering relationships with key technology partners, as well as established cell suppliers, with a focus on the Chinese/Asia market. You will be responsible for scouting new potential technologies and suppliers and creating a network of collaborators that can help us stay ahead of the curve.
1.Scout for innovative technologies and potential partners/suppliers in the field of Batteries
2.Develop and manage a network of technology partners, including startups, academic institutions, and industry experts.
3.Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for innovation.
4.Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential new battery and technology suppliers to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and performance requirements.
5.Work closely with suppliers and support our cell interface team to achieve industrialization on time and with the expected quality.
6.Work closely with R&D and product development teams
7.Collaborate w/ TTM (projects) group, support battery industrialization at supplier sites to accelerate/ contribute the TTM (projects) and ensure a smooth transition from development to mass production.
8.Participate in conferences/fairs or other collaborative events
9.Complete other tasks or projects assigned by line manager or department head.
Two percent of Hilti's annual net income is invested in projects of the Hilti Foundation.

What you need is:
1.Master degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering or a related field with extensive experience in technology scouting and partnership development.
2.Fluent in Chinese and English
3.Good technical understanding in Lithium-Ion battery technology.
4.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
5.Strong project management and organizational skills.
6.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
7.Comfortable with frequent travel, both domestically and internationally.
