Structural Connections Engineer

What's the role?

We’re looking for a motivated Structural Connections Engineer to grow and thrive within our dedicated Manchester team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering technical support for structural connection requirements and also contributing to design services through evaluation reports.

You’ll be responsible for providing first-line technical responses to our diverse customer portfolio, while being supported in preparing structured and high-quality deliverables.

What does the role involve?

As a Structural Connections Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing inbound structural connection enquiries from customers across the country.
  • Providing accurate and comprehensive technical advice to both field colleagues and customers.
  • Recognising when to escalate complex cases to a Senior Engineer, while maintaining curiosity and engagement in their progression.
  • Identifying opportunities and logging them in SuccessFactors, our CRM system.

What you need is:

  • A degree in a related subject such as Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Foundational understanding of construction methods, structural connections, and engineering terminology.
  • Willingness to learn and develop proficiency in design software tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an organized and methodical approach to work.
  • Clear and professional technical English skills for documentation and communication.
  • Commitment to following structured processes and archiving standards.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm to grow into Engineer II responsibilities.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK—please note that due to minimum salary thresholds, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
