What's the Role?

Regional Engineering Marketing Manager is decisive to drive specifier engagement. An effective engineering marketing team shall focus on four main areas: develop and deliver competence build-up; define marketing and communication plans; define the go-to-market approach; set targets and monitor performance.

Regional Engineering Marketing Manager holds the technical competence and drives the specifier content roadmap to the engineering community in the region.
He/she has a strong affiliation with both Engineering and Strategic Marketing, understands the way Hilti works in Engineering, able to prepare internal and external technical and educational content, enables strong marketing reach/relevance, and measures specification and conversion-to-sales success when addressing targeted specifier audience through various channels.

What does the role involve?

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Define the regional Engineering Marketing roadmap in coordination with BUs, coordinate educational content / webinars & marketing strategy on multiple channels, publishing articles & White Papers, generate dashboards for tracking
  • Coordinate with Global ECC, BUs Engineering Marketing, and Engineering Digital Marketing on the content and structure of the editorial page for specifiers, draft & test editorial pages
  • Work with regional Engagement Marketing Managers to align on Engagement Marketing roadmap for Engineering, align with Engineering Heads in markets on the roadmap, support in pre-launch preparation of flows with Engineering colleagues in markets, support regional Engagement Marketing manager in preparing Enablement packages for markets (e.g. proper handling of leads for FE and FEM)
  • Support Regional Engagement Marketing Manager and Engineering colleagues in markets in post launch adoption and steering, prepare data/insights and leverage insights to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Work with Engineering colleagues in HUB, MO to finalize the regional engineering roadmap for Engineering, on a yearly basis
  • Work with relevant Engineering topic owner in the HUB to conceptualize and develop the engineering strategy, Argue cards, content development, execution and steering plan post-launch.
  • Work with Engineering marketing digital managers in the HUB to drive change management and adoption of leads (timely action, opportunity pipeline and conversion).
  • Align Engagement Marketing topic in Regional and MO TMP Review&Improve process for sustainable adoption.
  • Prepare software and specification tracking dashboard and insights to be presented in HUB campaign board and use insights and feedback to correct future actions.
  • Work with Engineering colleagues in HUB, MO to finalize the regional engineering roadmap for Engineering, on a yearly basis
  • Work with relevant Engineering topic owner in the HUB to conceptualize and develop the engineering strategy, Argue cards, content development, execution and steering plan post-launchWork with Engineering marketing digital managers in the HUB to drive change management and adoption of leads (timely action, opportunity pipeline and conversion)
  • Work with software and Codes & Approvals colleagues in HUB, MO to translate and implement design methods into software solutions
  • Technical skills to support calculation reviews prior to launching a software solution
  • Support future software selling approach though HOL, AskHilti, social media, etc.
  • Support Engineering Services adoption (BIM service, Design service, etc.)

What you need is

  • Understand market context, competition, and Hilti position of F&P solutions, including key differentiation dimensions and their relevance to specifiers and engineering community
  • Understand customers’ applications and needs and have the passion to spend time with the customers, build a grounded application and business understanding

  • Understand the role of specifiers and engineers in the construction workflow, from initial design to final maintenance.
  • Drive specifier engagement in the region: build compelling and engaging content for specifiers and engineers, deploy content through appropriate channels and campaigns
  • Build and implement content roadmap for engineering marketing to achieve results by driving targets and main actions (e.g. AskHilti, HOL editorials, social media)
  • Analytical skills to understand and analyze commercial data, financial data, and application data to drive fact-based decisions
  • Connect and work together with relevant functions within the Hub, MOs and BUs, to drive specifier engagement and to connect the dots between codes & approvals, marketing, software, and engineering marketing
  • Commercial mindset and business ownership to drive sustainable value creation for the Hub/MOs through specifier initiatives
  • Presentation and communication skills to articulate own opinions, ideas, and concepts to relevant stakeholders in a simple and comprehensible way
