Segment Engineer (Industry)

What does the role involve?

The purpose of the role is to provide technical advice and educate assigned customers on Hilti’s products, software, and services. The role involves providing technical advice to architects and engineers in order to secure specifications early in the design process. The job holder is responsible for key project specification of Hilti products, software and services, supporting the sales team in their efforts to sell a variety of Hilti solutions.

Scope: Anchor job - field-based engineer with specifier territory.

  • Own and develop relationship with specifier accounts
  • Identify applications, define opportunity for specification, and specify Hilti products/solutions with the customer (both jobsite and office)
  • Drive, organize, and execute technical seminars and product training sessions for strategic focus accounts (owner and EPC contractor)
  • Lead and host demonstrations of engineering-relevant products and solutions to all accounts
  • Work with and support sales team for achieving NS target
  • Support project management team in collecting and filtering project information e.g. location, scope, eco-system, etc.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience (preferable in sales, customer facing role) in engineering / construction related industry.
  • Experience from working with construction projects.
  • Product knowledge within installation.
  • AutoCAD is a must and preferably experience from working in BIM, Revit and Structural Mechanics.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken local language, basic command of written and spoken English is required
