What's the role?
Your task is to support the development of new fastening solutions for wood constructions. As part of an interdisciplinary team you will derive concepts to fulfil customer requirements, evaluate existing solutions, take over development tasks for the new solution and perform tests to benchmark them to competitor products.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, target start date April 1st (flexible), duration: 6 months.

What does the role involve?
As intern in our department you’ll be part of the development of innovative wood constructions and systems for the construction business. In our global team setup, we constantly strive for innovation to provide the best solutions to our customers. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop future systems for sustainable buildings.
Your key responsibilities will be to develop concepts and designs for new and innovative screw fastening solution for structural wood constructions. You will test and evaluate the solutions in our state-of-the-art testing facilities and benchmark them to competitor solutions. You will design tests and carry out the investigations with support from our interdisciplinary team.

What you need is:
- Bachelor or Master student in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Good skills in Microsoft Office, CAD skills of advantage
- Strong communication skills, with excellent English and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach, self-reliant personality and enthusiasm to learn
