What's the role?
Contributing in developing the latest generation of the high-power lithium ion battery packs. You will experience working at HILTI as part of our battery team and you will be actively involved in our research projects with a special focus on battery aging and performances of the Hilti lithium ion battery packs.
Start date (from September 2022) is flexible to the student's availability, duration for at least 6 months.

What does the role involve?
As intern you’ll be part of our interdisciplinary battery team, working on the latest lithium ion battery technology. You’ll work closely with our experts for evaluating performances of commercial and experimental cells. Your key responsibilities involve electric-thermal characterization at cell and pack level, simulation and data analysis.

What you need is:
- Master student in mechanical or electrical engineer.
- Knowledge of electrochemistry for battery storage (preferably but not mandatory)
- Solid experience in data analysis and programming (Matlab and/or Python)
- Experience in lab work for electrical testing/characterization, preferably with batteries
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and/or German
- Enthusiasm of being part of an international team
- A proactive approach and self-reliant personality
