Field Engineer

Empower customers and sales teams alike by bringing Hilti’s technical expertise to the field—specifying smart solutions, solving onsite challenges, and influencing designs to turn every project into a winning opportunity.

As a field engineer, you will work closely with sales teams, contractors, and designers to drive sales of technical solutions for anchoring, fire protection, and mounting system solutions for installing mechanical and electrical installations. Your role includes specifying system solutions, promoting Hilti’s technologies on jobsites, and educating key influencers on their proper use and value to secure product inclusion in designs. You’ll relay these specifications to sales teams and support account managers in converting them into sales. The job also involves visiting sites to assess design challenges, provide technical advice, and identify opportunities, as well as exploring new business prospects through customer surveys and contributing to local sales strategies.

What You'll do

  • Maximize the sales potential of Hilti products and services through specification with selected customer groups and projects.
  • Provide engineering support and coverage to a defined group of designers, both consulting engineers and focused customers, to gain specifications, through providing a value engineering service.
  • Provide technical support and training to Hilti sales force and customers, to ensure the delivery of a high quality engineering support service at all times.

What You’ll Bring

  • University degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Experience in sectors of design and construction industry and knowledge of design and construction processes
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving technical issues in the field
  • Good communication and networking skills, team spirit
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work on field
  • Result orientation
  • Project management skills
  • Be eager to learn and determined
  • At least intermediate English
  • Fluent in Croatian
  • Driver's license
