What's the role?

The purpose of the role is to implement the end-to-end repair service process, excluding Repair Time Effectiveness (RTE)/Repair Time Standard (RTS) processes, within the local Tool Service Center (TSC) based on global standards (GPMS). Responsible for implementing best process practices for the end-to-end process and driving lean implementation. Coordinates technical system aspects and engages with Market Organizations and Regions. Supports one large Tool Service Center or multiple small/medium Tool Service Centers on After Market Service processes.

What does the role involve?

  • Indirect supervision of four (4) to six (6) warehouse workers, TSC coordinators, operational support specialist.
  • Oversees all Tool Service Centers related processes (with exception of repair processes).
  • Work closely with Team Leads and Tool Service Center Manager to identify workload trends and daily priorities,
  • Maintain SAP processes in compliance with Internal Control Systems (ICS), must be proficient in SAP systems.
  • Responsible for training of support team personnel on receiving, shipping processes.
  • Facilitate open communication between other Tool Service Center operations in order to achieve outstanding results and share best practices.
  • Coordinates the routine maintenance and calibration of Tool Service Center equipment.
  • Oversee all support team (TSC warehouse workers, coordinator, operational support specialist) activities including receiving customer tool repairs, sorting/distributing tools to various work groups, shipping completed repairs, receiving fleet tools for collection along with Tool On Demand (TOD)/Premium Tool Pool (PTP) tools, and recycling process.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and make recommendations to management regarding process improvements, including technologies that may apply to the support processes within the Tool Service Center.
  • Collaboration with regional team on process and project implementations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What you need is:

  • High School/GED required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of operational experience in a tool service operation/spare parts warehouse, required or technical degree, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team-oriented workforce, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team-oriented workforce.
  • Proven experience managing personnel and expenses to meet operational objectives.
  • A creative, energetic individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to recommend, introduce, and/or implement new technologies to improve the efficiencies and economics of the spare parts warehouse processes.
  • Unsurpassed focus to satisfy every internal and external customer on a daily basis.
  • Must be detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Strong knowledge of PC and software applications (MS Office, SAP).
