Regional Segment Manager North Asia - Large Capex Industry

What's the role?

This position is part of the North Asia Industry Segment Team (covering Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea), focusing on developing engaged customers through large-scale projects by leveraging Hilti’s integrated solutions. The targeted industries include data centers, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and automotive/electric vehicle battery segments. You will collaborate with local, regional, and global sales, business development, project management, and engineering teams to increase customer engagement, project specifications, and share of wallet.

What does the role involve?

  • Report to the Head of Industry for North Asia and develop the strategic direction for large-scale projects to maximize top-line growth and meet profitability targets.
  • Execute the segment strategy with a focus on key customers, key projects, and core Hilti offerings, fully aligned with global and regional directives.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, especially sales teams, to drive customer development and engagement with clearly defined standards and targets.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.
  • Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing team; continuously deepen understanding of the segment through internal knowledge exchange and by staying abreast of external trends via industry events and associations.

What you need is:

  • Degree in an engineering-related discipline; a Master’s degree or MBA is an added plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or project management. Experience in the data center, semiconductor, or pharmaceutical industries - either through direct involvement (as an owner, specifier, or contractor) or by working with these industries (as a supplier or technology provider) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, planning, construction sequencing, and project management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex commercial deals and lead teams remotely and without direct authority.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; a self-starter who can lead change, maintain a positive attitude, and demonstrate resilience.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, especially with senior management across organizational levels.
  • High proficiency in English; fluency in Korean, Japanese, or Chinese is a plus.
  • A long-term career mindset with openness to international relocation for career advancement is a plus.
