What's the role?

We are looking for a motivated student (m/f/d) for a thesis to conduct a feasibility study on design concepts for batteries. You work in a structured manner, are enthusiastic about conceptual work, and have a strong mechanical understanding.

What does the role involve?

As part of your thesis, you will analyze the given framework conditions for the development of mechanical design concepts, taking into account the cooling of battery systems, and define the technical and functional requirements for your solution. Building on this, you will develop various concept approaches for the arrangement of mechanical components and create criteria for evaluating these concepts in terms of efficiency, material properties, and feasibility. Through regular exchanges and feedback sessions with experienced experts, you will continuously optimize your developed approaches.

What you need is:

  • Student in mechanical engineering (ideally with a focus on product development) or a similar technical field
  • Very good mechanical understanding and a strong affinity for simulation methods
  • Initial experience in battery technology is required
  • High level of commitment and team-oriented work in an international environment
  • Very good English skills (German desirable)
