Team Lead, Demand Planning

What's the role?

The Materials Manager Team Lead role works in Hilti’s Regional Hub for META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa), managing the flow of materials within the markets and ensuring that there is an optimization of stock and service level at all locations in line with Hilti’s objectives.

What does the role involve?

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Materials Management team covering supply & demand planning and Retail & Van for markets using the ByDesign ERP system within the META Region. You will ensure that the key measurement criteria across all product ranges are met for; stock availability, customer satisfaction, days on hand, obsolescence, forecast quality, auto share and internal supply efficiency.


As a Materials Management Team Lead, you will be responsible for training, developing, monitoring and supporting team members to ensure that efficient and effective service is provided to internal and external customers. In addition, you will partner with other Hilti functions such as Sales, Marketing, Retail and Finance to achieve targeted sales and delivery performance while being the link between Material Management and the Product Leadership team to ensure all promotions and phase-in, phase-out items are planned effectively.


Finally, you will define and implement continuous improvement activities in the area of responsibility by utilizing key corporate resources and team members while ensuring that team members are involved in the solution development.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably from engineering or management disciplines
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Supply Planning
  • Direct people management experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in English - written and verbal
  • High cultural awareness with an adaptive leadership style
  • To be geographically flexible, with the willingness and ability to travel
  • Driving Licence - company car provided
