Project Manager - Operational Excellence

What's the role?

The Project Manager – Operational Excellence is responsible for leading Supply Chain projects from concept through implementation and roll-out. Projects are typically medium to large in scope, cross-functional and complex in nature, and are expected to deliver significant benefits in terms of customer satisfaction, productivity and working capital.

What does the role involve?

  • Develop and maintain strategic projects for Operational leadership team and report to key stakeholder's timeline and budget status until completion
  • Facilitate/lead workshops to achieve results & produce business cases for changes with process excellence focus
  • Effectively define, plan, and implement projects that achieve company objectives, productivity standards, and cost controls by understanding and defining cross functional requirements, documenting processes, training and coaching others on implemented projects
  • Monitor and rectify crediting protocol and contracts for assigned programs/products for freight-based errors
  • Define, develop, and implement product enhancements in order to deliver the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Focus on continuous improvement identifying areas of opportunity along the customer path to purchase
  • Interact with key Hilti departments to achieve cross-functional cohesiveness and communication
  • Develop and administer training materials and courses to Hilti team members on managed programs and products
  • Partner with financial resources in each market organization to achieve aligned methods of measuring and tracking impact on HNA strategic vision
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to define best practices; serve as subject matter expert for implementations that align with global logistics strategy
  • Maintain and administer compliance to program and product guidelines
  • Represent logistics program opportunities in relation to enterprise technology platform integration and implementation
  • Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree and certifications preferred (APICS, Project Management)
  • Minimum five (5) years Supply Chain experience, with two (2) years in Project Management roles
  • High level of functional expertise regarding Supply Chain operations, processes, systems, and data with demonstrated ability to apply functional and system expertise to business requirements
  • Knowledge of SAP – SD, APO, data warehouse (BI)
  • Demonstrated leadership in defining cross functional requirements and leading projects
  • Experience documenting processes and communicating change
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated coaching/training skills for mentoring others
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills to all external/internal customers, peer groups, and upper management
  • International experience preferred
