Human Resources Systems Specialist

What's the role?

The Human Resources Systems Specialist is the primary advanced report writer and data auditor for the Human Resources People Services function. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data management and ensuring compliance to internal controls and external state and federal governing agencies, as well as advanced level system testing and special projects.

What does the role involve?

HR Reporting and Analytics

  • Partner with business leaders and HR teams including: Talent Management, HR Information Systems (HRIS), Learning and Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partners to provide standardized reporting and analytics on all relevant people topics
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain advanced reports and dashboards
  • Manage government report writing and submission (EEOC and state required reporting)
  • Manage and support business reporting initiatives by developing, implementing, and tracking global and local key performance indicators that facilitate valuable insight into the effectiveness and success of the Human Resources Department
  • Collaborate with relevant Hilti team members to ensure that global and local reporting standards are met, and appropriate user authorization concepts are maintained
  • Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues due to data variances
  • Create and maintain monthly scorecards from shared services system data to measure shared services efficiencies
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal departments
  • Actively review current business and system processes and make recommendations to HR Management on methods of streamlining HR administrative processes

Data Management
  • Manage data quality by conducting thorough monthly audits
  • Continuously improve data management methods and systems; proactively suggest opportunities to avoid problems and anticipate future data needs
  • Deliver HR IT process expertise to Human Resources Team Members and other business leaders by assessing customer needs, developing solutions and implementing process improvements

Compliance
  • Monitor and audit HR processes for federal and state compliance (EEOC, OFCCP, etc.)
  • Monitor and audit HR ICS (Internal Controls) for HR key business and data processes
Other
  • Active participant in global projects, acting as HRIS/HCM lead, contributing to solutions, analyzing proposed solutions, testing, and communication planning as needed for impacts to HCM; projects may include document project, SAP decommissioning project, P11/Workday integration project, cost center consolidation project, benefits implementation project
  • Additional duties, as assigned

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, IT, or business-related field, required
  • Master’s Degree, preferred
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ related professional experience with data and analytics, preferred
    • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years’ related professional experience with HRIS
    • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years’ experience actively creating impactful PowerPoint presentations
    • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years’ experience advanced report writing
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills; understand and communicate analysis with individuals in a wide range of strategic and executional roles, with intuitive understanding of what the analysis implies and how it would be affected by changes in assumptions
  • Proven ability to extract a story from raw data, through deep data analysis
  • Expert in using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, graphs) and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically; take a hands-on approach with a technical aptitude
  • Ability to multi-task and change priorities in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing deadlines
  • Ability to keep information confidential and commitment to producing high quality work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills
