Marine Account Manager

What's the role?

It’s an exciting time to join Hilti! The Maritime Industry is growing, and through this we’re growing our team as well.

Within the Offshore Division, Hilti and Oglaend System partner with a range of customers across Marine, Oil & Gas and Off-shore Wind industries – bringing value added solutions to their maintenance and repair operations, new build, decommissioning and manufacturing activities. Hilti supply best-in-class power tools, fixings and fastenings, inserts, firestop, multi-discipline support systems and asset management solutions, whilst our group company Oglaend System supply cable and piping management solutions across a wide range of specialist industries.

This role requires national coverage, and the ideal location for this role is in and around Manchester to best reach your customers.

What does the role involve?

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and growing the profitable sales of Hilti solutions across your nationwide territory.
  • Develop clearly formulated strategies for your accounts to generate measurable contributions to your customers and our profitability.
  • Work pro-actively with key decision makers within contractors, relevant businesses and suppliers to understand their business needs and maximise sales.
  • Develop sales opportunities for both existing product range and new product.
  • Increase engagement with customers for the long term - focusing mainly on the highly engaged customers to drive more business and growth within for both products/services.
  • Establish a consistent working relationship with the Business Developers, covering major accounts to ensure continued sustainable profitable growth.
  • Maintain a high self-drive and commitment to results at all times.

What you need is:

  • Proven sales experience in a B2B technical sales role (industry experience is preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to build long term relationships to allow penetration of large and important accounts.
  • Passion for learning about customer businesses and develop relevant strategies.
  • Experience of negotiating significant pricing and trading agreements (i.e. ability to understand margins and volume related discounts).
  • Drive for both business development of current accounts, and identification of new business opportunities.
  • Clean, manual, UK Drivers License.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally.

Who should apply?
