Hilti Graduate Program - Sales / Business Track

What's the role

Have you recently (or almost) gained your Master’s degree? Are you already in the workplace but want a more challenging and rewarding role? Perhaps you’re looking for international opportunities? Exposure to senior management? Great colleagues? We want to hear from dynamic young potentials with the energy and ability to join our high-performing team.

Who is Hilti?

Hilti is where innovation is improving productivity, safety and sustainability in the global construction industry, and beyond. Where strong customer relationships are creating solutions that build a better future. Where there is pride and a sense of belonging across our 120 locations, carrying right into our lives and homes. Where people are exploring possibilities, leveraging their potential, owning their personal development and growing lasting careers.

What does the role involve?

It’s a 2-year program in which we invest deeply in your professional and personal development. You start with a one-month training program with comprehensive in-house courses, training days and learning on the job with colleagues.

What does the program look like?

0 – 12 months : You’ll start as an Account Manager and get hands-on experience and a deep insight into the core of our business – our customers, products, services and software.

12 – 16 months : You continue to work as Account Manager and in addition, you take on a strategic project for 20% of your time in a department other than sales. This earns you exposure to different departments and management.

After 16 months , you get 2 options :

  1. If at this point you are still not sure which way you want to go, you get the opportunity to focus on a full-time project within another department for an extra 4 months.
  2. If the results are there and you know exactly which role you want to grow into, you move on to a new position within that department. For the Sales track you can grow into a more expert sales role (Business Developer, Service Consultant,...) and for the Business track you can develop into various roles in Hilti's internal departments (Marketing, Finance, HR,...).

2% of our profits goes to the Hilti Foundation and is used for voluntary projects linked to education, science and social development.

What do we offer?

Show us what you’re made of and we’ll offer you opportunities to move around the business – to work abroad, experience different job functions and tackle different markets. It’s a great way to find the right match for your ambitions and achieve the exciting career you’re after.

We have a very thorough people review process, unlike any we know of in any other business. We screen everyone in the company in a yearly career performance matching process. It means we can pair talent with opportunities - developing our people in their current roles or challenging them to work in new ways or in new places. It’s how we find the right fit and further our teams personally and professionally.

What you need is:

  • You’ve recently graduated or will soon graduate with a Master’s degree
  • You’re fluent in English and French or Dutch
  • You have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience
  • You’re engaged in activities beyond studies and demonstrate good leadership skills
  • You’re mature, assertive and committed to your career development with good communication skills
  • You describe yourself as flexible, proactive and able to come up with solutions
  • You’re ambitious and you are preferably prepared to relocate nationally or even internationally at some point in the future.

Who should apply?

We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best graduates joined us with no experience of the construction industry. So, if you’ve never worked in sales or construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.

The Hilti Business Graduate Program combines the advantages of a direct start in the real working world with an intensive learning program and intensive training to support personal development:

  • You will have real responsibility from day one, managing your own client portfolio
  • You will gain extensive exposure to and mentorship from senior management
  • You will participate in regular career guidance and development discussions
  • A landing position after 16-20 months in Sales or within another department (Marketing, HR, Finance, Logistics...) with multiple potential steps for your career development in Belux and/or internationally
