What's the role?
As part of a team, you play a central role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations while driving cost efficiency. You are the key user for our Origin-Calculation-Software, and you’ll support our global Hilti organisation on the topics of preferential and non-preferential origin.
This full-time position is available as soon as possible.

What does the role involve?
In this position, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing MIC OCS, our Origin Calculation Software, on an ongoing basis. Your responsibilities will include assisting internal users, collaborating with IT and the software vendor, and ensuring that the system adapts to changing business and compliance requirements.
You will handle customs-related origin matters and provide insights on preferential and non-preferential origin (including Master-Data-Management). You will also contribute to improving processes and making international trade more cost-efficient.
You will provide advice on origin-related enquiries and help maintain consistent and compliant practices across Hilti Market Organisations, central functions and manufacturing plants. You will also interact with chambers of commerce, customs authorities, suppliers and customers, particularly with regard to certifications, inspections and declarations.
We’re currently navigating a period of global transformation in customs, involving everything from shifting trade policies to digitalisation. While it is a challenging time, it also presents a unique opportunity to influence how Hilti manages origin management across the globe.

You are an independent and resilient person with sound expertise in foreign trade. You have the ability to grasp new tasks quickly, analyse them, and explain them clearly. To succeed, you need:
- Commercial vocational training or further education (i.e. bachelor’s degree)
- Work experience, preferably in customs, foreign trade or export operations
- Proven experience in a key user role
- Strong communication and organisational skills; proactive, precise and structured
- Fluency in business English and German (written and spoken)
