Product Owner - Large Projects Sales Solutions

What's the role?

We are looking for an IT Product Owner defining and managing all sales related IT projects and solutions, working towards achieving our vision of a seamless, connected and SAP based IT landscape for Large Project business at Hilti. To complement our team, we are seeking for an IT Product Owner to plan, manage and deliver digitalization projects. Your role drives the build-up of a team and processes to sustainable manage the sales solutions area within the Large Projects program. You will strongly contribute to one of our core initiatives out of our new corporate strategy shaping the future towards “Make Construction Better”.

Global IT within Hilti is a truly global team with main hubs in Buchs (Switzerland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Plano/Tulsa (USA). What does the role involve?

As the IT Product Owner – Large Projects Sales solutions you will shape the future processes and IT solutions to improve step by step the areas of our offerings towards our customers within Large Projects. In line with our IT and Business project teams you will define, deliver, and run solutions contributing to our vision. This innovative position requires business understanding, IT know-how, project & portfolio management skills as well as strong competences to implement and operate these solutions. One of the most dynamic and diverse IT challenges is waiting for you. This position will be responsible for leading and supporting new business solutions based on latest technologies, e.g. Salesforce.com, SAP S/4 HANA. Following new trends surrounding Engineer-to-Order and digital sales solutions within the project business, analyzing their values, and implementing them at Hilti are additional parts of that innovation leading role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Master communication and manage all stakeholders within the Large Projects Sales solutions
  • Orchestrate the portfolio of all sales and customer related projects/initiatives around Large Projects at Hilti
  • Develop technical solutions, sustainable processes, and standards in this area
  • Drive standardization, centralization, and contribute to digitalization initiatives
  • Build-up sustainable support structures to operate the created solutions and processes (incl. documentation)
  • Actively manage 3rd party vendor(s), local suppliers, and providers in your area
  • Strongly collaborate with other Large project areas

What you need is:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or in a related field (PhD is a plus)
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in IT (SAP, Salesforce.com), Sales solutions and Customer Relationship Mgmt
  • Experience in Engineer-to-Order environments with a project driven context is a clear plus
  • Willingness to work closely with business counterparts and good stakeholder management & communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial attitude – taking responsibility in understanding topics, owning them, and delivering success
  • Product/Project Management – experience in managing multiple projects and initiatives in your area in a portfolio way as well as end-to-end project delivery experience
  • Skills in manging product related topics like backlog, budget, vendors, externals and internal resources
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), German is a plus
