What's the role?

You feel comfortable in a test field environment and thus do your work not only at your desk. In recent years, you have been able to drive forward various (development) projects thanks to your expertise in testing/proving in the fields of mechanical or civil engineering and have been able to convince your environment of your innovations and creative ideas with your independent way of working.
You are looking for a challenge in solving complex, technical tasks and are not afraid of greenfield projects. Together with an interdisciplinary and international team, you will actively shape our new business "Earth Compaction" and contribute your knowledge of problem solving and your strength in implementation.

Possibility to work less than 40 hrs./week (min. 30 hrs./week).

What does the role involve?

You will be responsible for the independent testing of power tools and the associated accessories throughout the entire product development process. You will be responsible for the test plans, specifications and scenarios, as well as for the test preparation, planning and execution.
For this purpose, you will operate our latest testing and measurement technology in our laboratories and develop it even further through your own drive and knowledge.
You evaluate the results and prepare them to be able to present your work results in the relevant steering committees. With your strong communication skills and empathy, you thus ensure open and clear communication within the project teams and to the management and design standardized test procedures from this.
With your strong team orientation, you coordinate your activities in close cooperation with colleagues in various technology and development projects and always have a clear view of your goals.
You enjoy the technical leadership of a cross-functional or cross-divisional team and your tasks include time and budget planning as well as the derivation of investment requirements for the further development of test and measurement technology.

What you need is:

  • High affinity for practical activities and the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or civil engineering
  • Initial work experience in a testing environment and/or in product development
  • Strong team orientation with very good communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • German language skills are an advantage
  • Ideally training in civil engineering (e.g. special heavy construction, landscaping or similar field)
