What's the role?

We are looking for a committed student (m/f/d) for a Bachelor thesis in the field of electric drives in power tools. You are characterized by a high level of initiative, an affinity for construction and an innovative way of thinking. Interest in product development, technical investigations in the form of testing and simulation is an advantage. You are communicative, active and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team to drive things forward and implement your own ideas.

The earliest possible start is March 2025.

What does the role involve?

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated bachelor student (m/f/d) to join our dynamic team in the development and implementation of electric drives for power tools. You will play a crucial role in researching the influence of various airflow design concepts for the efficient cooling and thermal behavior in powertools. Your tasks will include collecting data, analyzing concepts, deriving best practices and preparing an implementation guideline to help us optimize airflow in our products.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to independently perform study and optimization of components which have a major influence on the airflow and cooling of our e-drives using simulation tools. This hands-on experience will provide you with valuable insight into product development and quality control, making it an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain practical knowledge in a modern industry.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics (ideally with a focus on product development) or comparable courses
  • First experiences with CAD designs (NX), simulations from studies or internships
  • Knowledge of electric drives is an advantage
  • Practical affinity to tackle things
  • Team player and confident in communication with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Proactive and independent as well as structured and self-responsible working methods
  • Very good knowledge of English
