Who are we?

At Hilti, we stand as a global powerhouse within the construction industry, boasting a presence in 125 countries and a workforce of 33,000. While our name might not be the initial association with BIM, our BIM Competence Center is an international collective of dedicated professionals, including Project Managers, Lead Engineers, and (Lead) Modelers. Our mission is clear: to provide top-tier BIM project services to our esteemed partners and other Hilti Market Organizations. We are responsible for developing all BIM projects in the European market and support other regions developing BIM standards trough master classes. We are a ‘Transformation partner’ and leverage our core expertise in MEP support systems, passive Fire-Protection, and state-of-the-art Fastening Solutions.

Located in the heart of the Netherlands, our BIM Competence Center is steeped in advanced BIM practices, collaborative networks, and collaborations with leading universities. Here, we take the lead in setting the innovating standards for BIM excellence. What sets us apart is our complete integration of BIM throughout the product cycle, from prefabrication and integrated design to advanced logistics and digital twins. Our well-defined standards and workflows ensure that we'll always be at the forefront of BIM innovation.

What does the role involve?

As BIM Modeler you’ll be a key player in providing Modeling Services. This involves evaluating information quality in customer models, creating visual “model mock-ups”, reviewing quotes for integrated modeling, setting up project models, aligning with client requirements for Hilti workflow productivity.

In the near future you could grow into your role and evolve to manage issues and workloads, ensuring high-quality Modeling & Output services through continuous QA/QC, and collaborating with other Modelers in a shared environment. In collaboration with Project Managers, Lead Engineers, and Lead Modelers you will leverage our common rail of Hilti Modeling community by deployment of global tools and guidelines.

Your role also involves investigating industry developments to keep the modeling workflow up to date, contributing to a professional, standardizing software portfolio, documenting all activities along the workflow, identifying repetitive tasks for automation, and providing input for the future developments of modeling services and software tools. At our BIM Competence Center, you will have dedicated time to work on investigation, development, and innovation.

What you need is:

  • Master’s degree (mandatory) , such as civil- or structural engineering, sanitary, industrial designer or architecture
  • Minimum of one year of experience in BIM Modelling
  • You are currently living in the Netherlands and you're allowed to work in the Netherlands
  • Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks. Experience with Dynamo is preferable
  • Good understanding and a strong interest in MEP/FP and Anchors
  • Efficient oral and written communicator (English min. B2 level)
