Technical Architect - Mobile App

As a Technical Architect, you will take on a leadership role in designing and delivering the next-generation features of our e-commerce mobile app, focusing on the core app benefits: great UX and targeted functionalities. This role is part of the Strategic Marketing team that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.

What You'll do

As a Technical Architect, you will:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing architectures for the e-commerce mobile app for Android and iOS, using Kotlin Multiplatform.

• Lead the development and evolution of the app to support new use-cases, evolution of the underlying systems, and traffic growth.

• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain architectural standards, including best practices for data modeling, APIs, and system integration.

• Evaluate and recommend technologies, identifying the most suitable frameworks (e.g., Compose Multiplatform) to balance performance, scalability, and business needs.

• Act as a technical expert in e-commerce app solutions, ensuring the app meets business and performance requirements, and come with a great UX.

• Stay hands-on with the codebase when needed, providing guidance to development teams, managing technical debt, and ensuring high-quality standards.

• Drive compliance with IT security, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements for platform operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 7 years in software development, with a prior experience as an architect / tech lead.

• Prior experience working on an e-commerce website.

• Technical Expertise:

1. Strong expertise of mobile app ecosystem on Android and iOS –
   mobile app codebase architecture, push notifications architecture.
2. Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is a must-have.
3. Understanding and experience of cloud-based solutions, ideally using AWS services for hosting and scalability.
4. Hands-on experience in API design and development, including API gateways, microservices, and data synchronization workflows.

• Mindset: Agile, solution-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
