What's the role?
The role of Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees the Distribution Operations personnel and activities. Supervisory functions include, but are not limited to, directing and overseeing operational activities such as shipping, receiving, returns, carrier scheduling, and replenishments, while overseeing subordinate development by monitoring, coaching and directing warehouse staff. Support activities include data analysis, reporting, forecasting, inventory management and project work.

What does the role involve?
- Assist in the recruiting and hiring process (i.e.: work closely with contract agencies, on site interviews, etc.)
- Train, coach, and develop warehouse employees in primary processes such as shipping, receiving, and inbound receipt
- Oversee operational activities including shipping, receiving, returns, carrier scheduling and replenishments
- Execute and maintain specified reports involving forecasting, inventory management, slotting, & project work
- Assist with performance management and corrective action(s)
- Conduct the Performance Management Process (PMP) and Strategic Manpower Development (SMD) discussions with direct reports
- Drive performance by ensuring team is executing key initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers; ensure quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of feedback for continuous process improvement
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean and CIP processes
- Define and implement operational goals within regional targets
- Responsible for site warehouse safety and site security
- Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:
- High School diploma/GED required; some college preferred
- Minimum three (3) years operational experience
- Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team-oriented workforce
- Proven experience managing personnel and expenses to meet operational objectives
- A creative, energetic individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Ability to recommend, introduce, and/or implement new technologies to improve the efficiencies and economics of the pick/pack function
- Unsurpassed focus to satisfy every customer order on a daily basis
- Detail oriented and well organized with an ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong multi-tasking ability
- Ability to perform data analysis
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Basic understanding of inventory management concepts
- Erratic temperature control (hot in summer, cold in winter)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate a variable climate, prolonged standing, repetitive bending and reaching, and climbing up and down ladders
Safety Equipment Required:
- Must observe and abide by any and all safety regulations as required by Hilti and Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (COSHR)
- Must wear steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and other safety equipment as required when working in the warehouse and/or operating machinery
