What's the role?
You will derive mechanical resistance characteristics for a global installation fixation portfolio according to international building standards and latest state-of-the-art structural analysis methods. Applied methods are advanced testing and finite element analysis. In this role you will collaborate with various functions like technical marketing, hardware and software development and application engineering.

What does the role involve?
In this role you will calculate load resistance data for single components and whole installation systems. This data is part of our total offering and will be used by our customers and internal engineering service and software. You’ll be a key person in product development projects as well as in application engineering e.g. market requests. Recommending test procedures and executing non-linear finite element models are part of your daily work just as defining content of our customer facing software solutions. Working in international, interdisciplinary teams you will broaden your experience also in fields beyond engineering like marketing, quality, sales and supply.
Our small department is spread over three different continents.

What you need is:
- A master’s degree in engineering
- Experience in structural engineering with steel according to building codes (e.g EN 1993, Aisi, Aisc)
- Practical experience with finite element method/analysis (FEM/FEA)
- Strong communication skills
- Drive to understand and manage complexity
- Fluency in spoken and written English
