What's the role?
In our interdisciplinary battery research team, you will work closely with your future colleagues from the research department and product development on the next generation of high-performance battery solutions and contribute to the further improvement of our battery systems. Applying your broad knowledge in battery testing, you will support various projects to demonstrate the feasibility of new ideas and technologies. You will be responsible for defining and executing test plans, support in preparing new prototypes, as well as analysing, documenting and preparing the gathered data and insights. With this, you will support us to validate new ideas and innovations to make them ready for implementation in our products.

What does the role involve?
In this challenging position, you will be responsible for structuring, planning and executing tests on cell and pack level, based on modern high-performance Lithium-Ion technologies. As part of our battery research team, you will work at the interface between battery research and battery product development. Thus, you will help us to transfer new technologies and insights from research to our battery applications. In addition, you will play an important role to refine and further develop our testing and data analysis methods.
Based on your experience in battery and cell technology, you will deliver important contributions to projects in the areas of battery management, operating strategies, system design, and battery modeling and simulation. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in all aspects of battery technology, from cell technology topics to pack and charger level topics.

What you need is:
- Completed degree (Diploma, Masters) in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
- At least 3 years of practical experience in handling Li-ion cells and batteries, as well as with the experimental techniques and devices
- Good understanding of battery technology and its application in electrical systems is beneficial
- MATLAB skills, affinity for scripting and hands-on work in the lab
- Enthusiasm for creative, interdisciplinary teamwork and independent work
- Curiosity, ambition, and a high degree of goal orientation
- Good knowledge of English, knowledge of German preferred
