What does the role involve?

Together with a motivated and interdisciplinary project team, you develop novel chemical formulations for polymer-based fire protection products. You design test plans, set up experiments, guide laboratory technicians, and actively collaborate in the laboratory. With your expertise in the formulation process of polymeric compositions and your ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex topics, you contribute to the project success and thus to the introduction of new, innovative products. Thereby, you closely collaborate with different business areas as well as with external partners and present your results target-group-oriented in project and steering meetings.

Last year alone, we launched around 60 new products on the market. This also includes new services and software.

What you need is:

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material sciences or similar with subsequent doctorate or 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, target-oriented working style and affinity for practical activities
  • Sound understanding of chemistry and knowledge in the formulation of filled polymer compositions
  • Ideally, knowledge in the formulation of polymer foams or coatings and in design of experiments (DoE)
  • Team player with excellent communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Very good knowledge of English
