The role of the Pricing Analyst is to support the company on providing support to internal stakeholders to help drive pricing decisions through analytics and process improvements, providing frequent recommendations to improve internal processes about price performance out of the structured pricing concept.

What does the role involve?

As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing analytical excellence. The Pricing Analyst will support Hilti’s internal stakeholders in a highly integrated matrix organization. Your role extends to maintaining system data integrity, ensuring accuracy in pricing databases, and troubleshooting pricing discrepancies. You will be responsible for generating monthly pricing reports and offering insights into performance metrics and recommending adjustments to enhance profitability. Keen analytical skills will be crucial in reviewing our existing pricing structure to align with our business objectives.

You will serve as a key resource to supporting the sales team, providing them with accurate and timely pricing information. This involves working closely with Sales and Marketing departments to develop pricing reports that align with market demands and stakeholder expectations. You will work with Hilti’s sales managers on analyzing and improving profitability, coordinated with Finance and Marketing efforts to plan and execute pricing activities. You will also act as support to our sales team in providing profitable decision-making reviews, training, and coaching to new sales team members on the importance of pricing discussions with customers.

As a Pricing Analyst, you will take also work to provide input and direction in the development of best practices for pricing, process, systems, reporting, and solutions both locally and globally. You will have exposure to and work closely with various stakeholders including Finance teams, marketing teams, and IT teams to ensure alignment with overarching business goals and objectives. You will act as a project manager for the implementation of pricing process improvements related to internal stakeholder needs and to improve the external customer pricing experience.

What do we offer?

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience in pricing or financial analysis
  • Must have an understanding of the relationship between pricing and profitability at both a high and transactional level
  • Strong data mining background including the ability to run to run large data sets
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel for extracting, manipulating, and interpreting complex datasets. Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Attention to detail to maintain system data integrity, ensuring pricing accuracy in databases
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies to uphold the reliability of pricing data
  • Knowledge of BI and SAP preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams
