Intern - Global Finance & Procurement – Performance Steering Software Business (m/f/x)

What's the role?

At Hilti, we are committed to becoming the digitalization partner for our customers. We are therefore committed to further strengthening our software selling capabilities. To support this journey, we are defining the financial and operational key performance indicators that enable us to measure performance and progress towards these goals. Also, we are actively working on dashboards to aggregate and visualize data for more effective decision-making purposes. In this role, you will support in bringing this visibility to the key stakeholders through active participation in these initiatives. Your benefits in a nutshell: develop further in finance and analytics skills, be exposed to business stakeholders across the organization from different business areas to global IT and gain a deep understanding about the key elements of a software business. You will also further strengthen your skills by working with state-of-the-art Business Intelligence tools, such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Microsoft Power Bi.

Start date is flexible, for minimum 6-9 months.

What does the role involve?

As an intern in our department, you will help to drive the implementation of our performance steering of the software business.

You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas and experiences to build dashboards as minimum valuable products (MVP) in Microsoft Power BI. Due to the global and multi-functional scope of the program you will work and communicate closely with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.

Your key responsibilities will be data cleaning and processing, data modeling and analysis, automating and documenting workflows, building reports and dashboards as well as data storytelling and visualizations. All this shall result into an effective performance steering concept to maximize success of our productivity software business.

What you need is:

  • Enrollment for the whole internship period in a Master’s program in finance, business, business informatics or information management
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and communicating results
  • Skills SQL, Python, Power Query M, DAX is a plus
  • Experience in Power BI & SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus
  • Interest for finance and business analytics technologies
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus
  • Effective communication skills
  • A strategic approach and good problem-solving skills
