Senior Sales Account Manager

What's the role?

£41,500 OTE (£34,000 base plus £7,500 bonus @target - uncapped)

This role also comes with a Hilti branded vehicle, mobile phone and tablet. Full, valid manual driving license is required.

As a Senior Specialist Sales Account Manager in our Specialist division of our business you’ll be out visiting our customers, wherever they’re busy working, to find out how we can help them.

You'll find yourself working and driving business opportunities with our key specialist trade contracting customers, - so no day will be the same!

What does the role involve?

Develop and grow the profitable sales of Hilti solutions to your geographic territory accounts.

Develop clearly formulated strategies for your accounts to generate measurable contributions to your customers and our profitability.

Work pro-actively with key decision makers within contractors, relevant businesses and suppliers to understand their business needs and maximise sales.

Develop sales opportunities for both existing product range and new product.

Increase engagement with customers for the long term - focusing mainly on the highly engaged customers to drive more business and growth within for both products/services.

Establish clear and consistent pricing within your territory, major accounts and those passed over to other Account Managers to ensure sustainable profitable growth.

Maintain a high self-drive and commitment to results at all times.

In 2021, our teams supported more than 300 social projects within the initiative "Engaged Beyond Business".

Our Regional Head Office is based at Circle Square in Central Manchester, where we are located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop. We offer a hybrid working pattern between the office and home and different ways to work flexibly so please feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you at your interview.

What you need is:

  • Proven selling with visible results
  • Experience of negotiating significant pricing and trading agreements (i.e. ability to understand margins and volume related discounts)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within our organisations up to and including Director level
  • Ability to learn new ideas/products and implement quickly
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Basic project management skills (using any tools, i.e. MS Project?)
  • Experience of Salesforce or another CRM system is desirable but not essential
  • A full, clean, manual driving license and willingness for regional travel

Once you're in the formal process, there are three stages – a first interview with a Regional Manager, a day-in-the-life 'field ride' to give you a real feel for the job and a final interview with a Sales Director. We'll also pay your expenses if you have to travel to meet us.
