New mechatronic features to drive differentiation and productivity are often enabled by better tool control. You’ll be in the center where new ideas come to life and are tried out for the first time, to test and tune new approaches.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for preferably 6+ months

What does the role involve?
As an intern in our department, you’ll be part of a competent and diverse team in Corporate Research. You’ll work closely with our experts on developing new mechatronic features in our power tools, following the development process from idea to implementation.
Depending on your interests and experience, you will develop and evaluate new model- and data-based algorithms, set up and instrument prototypes, and test and tune your ideas on test rigs or hands-on in our labs.

What you need is:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s / Master’s program in control engineering (e.g., cybernetics, mechanical or electrical engineering with focus on control systems or a related discipline)
- Good knowledge and prior experience in programming and/or algorithm development in MATLAB/Simulink or similar
- Hands-on mentality in working with rapid control prototyping systems or embedded systems
- A proactive approach and self-reliant personality
- Fluency in spoken and written English or German
