Technical Manager

What's the role?

We’re looking for a dynamic leader to join Hilti as a Technical/Field Engineering Manager. This is a high-potential, customer-focused role, requiring strong business acumen and leadership skills. You will lead engineering teams, drive the adoption of technical solutions, and develop key accounts to ensure business sustainability.

What does the role involve?

You will lead and coach a team of engineers focused on maximizing market reach and productivity. The role involves overseeing specifiable sales and business development across key accounts and projects, particularly in facade engineering and joint focus customers. You’ll build relationships with consultants, contractors, and decision-makers to drive the adoption of Hilti’s solutions and technical specifications. Key tasks include:

- Driving specifiable business growth and managing a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Leading engineering teams across India to support sales efforts and defend technical specifications at job sites.
- Collaborating with the sales team to influence technical specifications and secure project wins.
- Monitoring competitor activities and ensuring Hilti maintains a competitive advantage in the market.

What you need is:

- A B.E./B.Tech degree in Engineering, with an MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in field engineering or related roles, with at least 5-6 years in sales or project management.
- Strong experience in the construction industry, especially in the facade trade, business development, or key account management.
- Leadership skills with a track record of coaching teams and achieving results.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to influence senior management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and technical knowledge of facade systems.
