International Business Developer - Façade

What's the role?

As an International Business Developer within the Façade team, you’re the face of Hilti and the very foundation of our business. In this technical sales role and you will form part of the global Hilti Business Development community. As the International Business Developer, you will be proactively developing business opportunities through a selected portfolio of Top Accounts involved in the Façade industry worldwide.

Your focus will be on Façade consultants and Façade contractors who are involved in the various stages of design, manufacturing and installation of different types of facades. Your aim will be to maximise Hilti’s potential with these customers by providing a high standard of technical service and engineering consultancy.

You will be crafting a strategy and leading its execution leveraging the wider Hilti direct sales force to improve our commercial relationships and drive technical specifications.

Finally, you will be coordinating a worldwide team associated with these accounts.

What does the role involve?

As the Business Developer you will form strong relationships and sustainable technical partnerships with your consultants/contractors and establish a Global Framework and Service Level Agreements. You will focus on contractor projects within and outside of the hosting country making sure the business is developed across the relevant geographies, whilst maintaining effective communication systems throughout the team and company.

Other key elements of the role will be;

  • To deliver superior value: understand what constitutes value in a customer’s mind through Hilti’s technical expertise in the Facade industry.
  • Autonomously manage the project development pipeline, identifying and prioritising specifiable applications supported by the Hilti technical team.
  • Working closely with team members in other countries and will be exposed to Hilti’s senior management team due to the importance of the project.

What you need is:

  • BSc Degree in Facade, Structural, Civil, Architectural or Mechanical engineering
  • Multi-level customer contacts and stakeholder management
  • The ability to involve and influence and drive strategic topics
  • Strong business development and sales experience for specified engineering products or technical solutions.
  • Previous experience with or within Façade industry (Engineering, Design, Contracting..)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to act independently and craft own strategic direction
  • Post graduate certification is preferred.
