In this position, you will take ownership of product certification, with a strong focus on tool approvals including robotics.. Working closely with development teams and external certification bodies, you will help us maintain the highest standards while contributing to the success of our technology-driven product portfolio.

What does the role involve?

Growing demands in our development projects require timely executions of worldwide approvals for the tools transferred to you. This takes place in coordination with our marketing and product development teams.
In this context, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to product approvals and regulatory compliance. Your role is essential in ensuring that our products meet international safety standards and regulations before they are launched in global markets.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing global certification for energy driven tools
  • Approvals of products with radio technology (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE)
  • Driving approval processes for robotic systems, including aspects of functional safety and semi-autonomous functionality
  • Coordinating global market access activities in collaboration with external certification bodies and test labs
  • Supporting development teams with regulatory requirements during the product design phase
  • Monitoring changes in relevant standards and regulations (e.g., RED, FCC, CE, etc.)
  • Supporting cross-functional projects involving new compliance areas, such as cybersecurity

What you need is:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product certification
  • Solid knowledge in radio compliance (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE) and global market access is beneficial
  • Experience in robotic approvals, particularly in functional safety or semi-autonomous driving systems, is a plus
  • Openness and motivation to explore new areas such as cybersecurity
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external certification bodies and internal stakeholders across multiple business units
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong sense of initiative and ownership
  • Strong analytical skills combined with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Proactive attitude with the determination to push topics forward and achieve results
  • Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
