Human Resources Manager – HR Business Partner (HRBP), Japan

What's the role?

HR Manager (HRBP) plays a key role in driving the People, Organization, and Culture agenda, acting as the best partner to business leaders in order for Hilti Japan to achieve the sustainable and profitable business growth as well as “a great place to work for everyone”.

What does the role involve?

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders to uplift the organizational capability. Identify challenges and opportunities and strategize a path to success by leveraging HR excellence, e.g. Talent / Performance Review, L&D Programs, Talent Acquisition and Retention, Employee Engagement. Ensure the journey is designed and implemented based on the in-depth understanding of the business and people of your responsible business units.
  • Ensure the best-in-class employee journey in their end-to-end life-cycle, closely collaborating with HR CoE teams, including TA, L&D, TM, C&B. This includes day-to-day management as well as continuous enhancement of HR operations and processes.
  • Act as a change agent with the purpose of achieving ambitious business and organizational goals.
  • Drive Hilti group’s corporate culture of “Care and Perform” through HR initiatives, together with the responsible business units.
  • Lead HR projects with a wide variety of topics, closely work together with HR CoE teams, Region / Global HR, and colleagues beyond HR.
  • As part of the HR Leadership Team in Japan, contribute to uplifting HR function as a “value creator”.

What you need is:

  • B.A. or above in HR, business, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of HRBP experience, ideally in a global enterprise. Proven success in driving HR topics with sound understanding across HR key areas and business. Robust experience in Talent Management is a plus.
  • Excellence in communication both in local and global business context. High proficiency both in English and Japanese. Agility to flex the communication style to rapidly build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders in business and within HR team.
  • High learning agility, coupled with strong curiosity and mind-set to go extra mile.
  • Curiosity to enjoy the change with purpose. Strong resilience and engagement to follow through the change, positively involving people around.
