What's the role?

Join our interdisciplinary and multicultural development team as test manager for our measuring solutions. You will work with cutting edge technology in our detection and reality capture portfolio. In this interface function you are responsible to ensure system testing including different testing approaches and techniques (integration testing, application testing, exploratory testing etc.). You will also have the opportunity to work closely together with suppliers and external partners. With your expertise you will help us to develop and ensure the quality of the next generation of innovative measuring solutions.

What does the role involve?

As test manager you are in lead of the testing activities in different projects. You will be closely working together with the different interdisciplinary project teams. Both managing skills and hands-on mentality are needed as you will not only define and organize the testing activities but also fulfill test engineering tasks (e.g. develop new test methods / setups, improve existing setups, do hands-on testing). Your responsibilities will be:

- Lead, plan and coordinate the testing activities for multiple projects.
- Drive the testability of the specification and support the definition of requirements. 
- Define the test strategy. Lead the development of test plans and test cases. 
- Develop new test environment, test fixture.
- Test engineer and execute key test cases internally. Coordinate the remaining testing activities with external partners.
- Use statistical methods to interpret test data and make formal recommendations to the development team.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of reports. Track, follow-up and support the resolution of test findings.
- Communicate the results/status to the different project teams.

What you need is:

  • Engineering or Physics background with a master’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years in similar technical positions within technology development organizations
  • Knowledge of Test, Instrumentation and Measurement techniques
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab
  • Analytical and conceptual skills and a high affinity for practical activities
  • Critical thinking, ability, and willingness to constantly learn new applications, workflows and technologies
  • Good communication skills within interdisciplinary/multicultural teams
