What does the role involve?
Hilti’s internal audit aims to offer an increased level of assurance and deliver forward-looking insights. Our audits are based on our internal control system and cover all major business cycles.
As an Audit Manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading comprehensive audits of market organizations, plants, and functions:
- Identifying Audit Scope and Objectives: Determining the specific areas to be audited, assessing associated risks, and identifying the necessary resources. You also develop a detailed audit plan and schedule.
- Executing the Audit: Preparing and executing the audit, ensuring compliance with audit standards and procedures, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Reporting and Action Planning: Compiling detailed reports of audit findings and supporting entities in developing appropriate action plans. You also follow up to ensure that identified issues are resolved and corrective actions are implemented.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with various stakeholders, including senior management, to communicate audit results and provide insights for process and control improvements.

What you need is:
- Master’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. CPA qualification or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience in external or internal audit within a Big Four or multinational company is required; experience in financial accounting or controlling is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with finance processes, internal control systems, and ideally project management.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with a proactive working style.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to thrive in a global matrix environment as an Audit Manager, with good stakeholder management and demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Proficient in SAP/BI; experience in data analytics is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Interest in developing an international career and mobility.
